Chulu West Peak Climbing in Nepal

CHULE WEST PEAK CLIMBING IN NEPAL

Chulu west and Chulu central are linked with a base camp which lies in a small valley north of Manang and subsequently this route joins with the main trail to Throng La. From this pass, you will notice some of the breathtaking views of peaks. You should be little careful while climbing the peak, particularly from Scree to Col. At the north of the Col, You will notice the slope of the snow up to 200m to a rock band at 5100m. After crossing a snow pleatue 5530m, it is difficult to climb from rock band to 5450m. Then we follow the narrow ridge to Chulu west summit.

We will have to cross the snow pleatue and then traverse onto the Chulu glacier basin, lies at the east of the ridge, while climbing Chulu central. Then we climb up to the broad glacier facing many obstacles. This area is not difficult technically, however. Under certain condition, this area is prone to sudden avalanche. We keep on walking towards the central summit on a steeping snow until we get the crest of the ridge of the summit. This trail leads us towards a small encumber and finally at 20 meter pinnacle.
